What was missed in this thread is any mention of the Delta One Lounges, now that MSP is rumored. Basic Business will excluded Delta One Lounge access as Delta revenue management needs to monetize this—Delta is not giving a 3 course sit down meal for “free”. Now is that 3 course meal worth $400 for BB vs main Business fare difference?

I don’t foresee MQD or Skymiles earnings removed with a BB fare, as this would cause an other public relations fiasco that Delta would have to walk back. It’s an other way to devalue DM status as GUC’s would be useless if all the remaining seats were sold from BB uptake.

Now that AF can offer business lite fares on TATL routes with Delta’s BB, will the JV agreements be scrutinized by FTC/DOT/DOJ/Congressional committees?
