There is no outstanding news here. You will now have to pay the same you do today for a normal D1 fare (that includes lounge access, luggage, seat assignments, food, allows changes, etc), and now you will get less (or none) of those things for the same price. This is not winning. "Enhancements" are only made if DL makes more money, you will not magically have cheaper access to perk-free like flat seating. This is the exact same thing that happened when they rolled out Basic Economy fares.
