These are all solid points. I do prefer the ZRH airport overall but the aircraft is the concern as mentioned. With regards to transfer, that might be a bit tricky though. We will be on separate tickets. In theory UA should check out bags through, but I am guessing we will still likely need to go out to get our boarding passes. Any of these connections should allow for plenty of time for either scenario though….we will have roughly 5 hours.
On *A connections UA should check your bags through, and print your BP if you have done OLCI with TG, TG are very accommodating in this regard what is the point in being in an Alliance otherwise, LH & LX have specific fields within their checkin terminals for *A baggage through check.
