After years of red eyes, I did try the daytime flight for the first time this year. Absolutely loved it! Yes, the BA178 is early, but getting up super early and not sleeping on the plane is what helps me overcome jet lag (by the time I get to the hotel I’m tired). I also did the AA one, which is a pretty good alternative. It’s a little later, leaving more time for the lounge. Having to give up a day of PTO is the major downside though.
