I normally start on GF to see what is available, and what it shows is bookable with either QR or an OTA at the quoted price. But when I click through to the BA site (or copy the proposed details into the BA site) it all becomes a bit of a mess. For example :

• I want to fly from LHR as I need 2 BA flights (as well as the double TP's) to get my gold status back. The system will book me a seat on the 15:40 departure, but this is a bit tight for time in DOH, I'd rather get the 14:05 departure but that isn't on offer.
• I can book the 01:50 departure from DOH to BKK, which is an A380. It won't let me book the 02:15 departure which is QSuites.
