While we generally only use FHR overseas where the prices have been more reasonable, even without the upgrades, we've generally been upgraded with FHR (in fact, I'm struggling to remember a time where we were not upgraded). Most recently we booked a city view room of some sort at the Palazzo and were upgraded to a suite. Throughout Taiwan, upgrades have generally included bigger rooms or better views. In the 10 months, we've booked with FHR 5 different times. We'll be staying at the FS in Sydney this month, so will see if the upgrade trend continues.

Note, as an aside, upgrades for us don't really factor into our decision to use FHR personally, though they are a nice to have if we do receive.
