So what you're saying is that the airline/airport is being very customer friendly by making sure that passengers who have flights within the next 2 hours, don't miss their flight because they had to wait in an extremely long line behind people whose flights were 3, 4, 5, or more hours away.

I love how people assume their own opinion to be the opinion of the entire class. If some aspect doesn't work for someone, fine, that's their opinion. But it doesn't mean it's not working for most customers. We see the same thing with the whole open and saving seat conversations here. "Because I don't like it, I know no one likes it"

Not quite sure what you are you trying to say here, but...
If the majority of people started arriving 3-6 hours before their flights at ANY airport in the country, it would be a royal mess. Airports can not handle that volume of people. Cruiseships are dumping 3-5000 people per ship with a very large percent of those folks heading to the airport.
