I booked this all on one ticket stock.... The 6 digit code is the same and the ticket number is the same, does it matter?

I am flying from TPE-KUL - 12 hours there, I am leaving the airport.
Then From KUL to DOH 2 days in DOH
Then from DOH - LAX direct.
I have another flight from LAX to another city, and I am praying that I get a nice counter agent in Doha that will be willing to check through my luggage from LA to that other city. Because I really do not want to recheck it at LAX, I am meeting a friend there and have little time, it will be much easier to give it to the guys just outside of customs to deal with it for me... But... I am not holding my breath.
It was no mistake. The system priced the award correctly. You have a single reservation and ticket, but from an award pricing perspective this made up of 2 awards, TPE-DOH + DOH-LAX. This is why you can stop in DOH for as long as you want and the award pricing will not change, as mentioned.

At LAX you can still drop your bag off after customs at the AA desk even if it is not tagged through. They can print you a new tag there.
