I know you’re using upset tummies as a portmanteau for any unforeseen incident, but this I’d like to point out that it’s not just bad curries or, well, one glass too many that causes delays downroute. For a brief spell when I worked with colleagues in the IOC on a project I saw them deal with incidents downroute that included assaults (including attempted rape), deaths, death of relatives, car accidents, serious illnesses and robberies. All events that caused crews to be stood down, flights to be delayed, or cancelled. Are all of the above included in the eventualities liable for compensation? If so, how long before they allow diversions for medical reasons to be included in the list? It all feels very unsettling to me.
