Sorry, your post is pretty long and difficult to follow.

You had a booking for 120'000 miles with a 2 day stopover in DOH that you now want to change, but the new date/routing costs 300'000 miles? That's your complaint? If so, there's nothing you or AA can do about that. A change will always reprice the entire itinerary, unless the change is involuntary. What is AA supposed to do? Give you a free change for some reason?

Unless I'm misunderstanding your post, which is entirely possible. can you post just the essentials of your complaint? I'm not sure what stopovers or notnhave to do with your complaint at first glance. While AA awards do indeed not allow stopovers - if it did let you book one, what's there to complain? And why does the thread title refer to upgrades, when there are no upgrades involved?
