Think of it this way... in the best case / worst case scenario... you land :00, then need to taxi to the gate, :10 - :20, then get off the plane and get to customs :05 - :15, clear customs :05 - :30, get to security :05 - :10, clear security :05 - :20 and walk to gate :05 - :20. So best case, from the time you touchdown to connecting gate is :30 minutes to 1:45. While 1:45 is unlikely, it happens.

So if everything is on time / early + no customs/security issues, you can make it. Any hiccups and you wont.
Turns out flights from BWI don’t require immigration or customs.

Also, the arrival time is not a wheels down time. It’s the expected time of arrival at the gate (doors open, with a cushion).
