Maybe not relevant to this thread, but some info on using a Chinese SIM (and Chinese phone) overseas might be interesting too; i.e. the other way around.

I'm not in China now, and probably won't return until late next month. I didn't bother dropping down my Unicom plan (mostly due to laziness, but my plan isn't exactly onerous either). I haven't been using a lot of data and I've only answered about 5 phone calls. I will say that network quality has been good everywhere I've gone though.
