Being pretty new to the QF board, my apologies in advance if the answer to this question lies in some place I haven't found....

I'm flying LHR - SIN in F in a couple of weeks and was wondering if anyone had any advice on a good seat. I've picked 1A so far because I like the idea of sort of looking forward out of the nose. However, looking on airliners.net it seems like it might be a little boxed in.

I love looking out the window basically and choose seats on the side of the airplane that the sun won't be on (at least most of the time) so that I can keep the blinds open without getting too many nasty stares.

Frankly, I'd like to start a whole new thread about what appears to be an international court ruling that windows MUST always be closed....but maybe someone can guide me to the right place for that too.
