Bit confused though - why on earth did you turn up at 3am for a 7.05am flight?! 4 hours before a flight? I often fly 6.30am from Heathrow and won't turn up to parking until 5am! If I have cabin baggage, I'll head straight through north security and be in/out in 15 mins and have time to grab something from the lounge before heading to the gate!

Are you suggesting that if I had turned up later, my flight would not have been cancelled?
