Ok friends I had a recent stay at a hilton all inclusive that had some service issues and I submitted my first ever compensation request via guest assistance and they said I could either receive 30k points or a be my guest certificate, when I asked if I could use the cert at the grand wailea (waldorf astoria) they advised it was only good at hilton branded hotels, is this correct or can I use this cert for a standard room at any hotel within the hilton portfolio? TIA
It depends for which brand the BMG is issued

Typically, it is only issued (and, hence, valid) for the brand of the hotel in which the issue to be compensated has happened.
