Does anyone know if you're able to use the enhanced companion certificate on a flight to Hawaii that includes a flight operated by Hawaiian Airlines? For example, on a route like MSN-MSP-LAX-LIH-HNL-DTW-MSN, where all segments are operated by Delta except for the LIH-HNL segment. I've been using the ITA Matrix search (this Reddit thread) to look for flights compatible with the companion cert for MSN-LIH, but the search results include mostly flights that go through HNL and have a short hop Hawaiian flight from LIH-HNL. You can book the entire trip on Delta (I've tested this), but just not sure if companion certs have unique rules about booking on a flight operated by another carrier. I don't have a companion cert in my account yet so can't check if it actually works, so just wanted to see if anyone knew if this was possible!
