I - a holder of a silver card and owner of two legs that make me 6'5 - have placed a hold on a CE return to Tel Aviv in August. Prior to doing the £5 hold I went through the process to check and was able to select row 1 on both legs. I need the TPs and would prefer the (relative) peace and lack of immediate neighbour of that cabin for such a long narrow body flight. However, I was surprised that row 1 was available as a silver - does anyone know why it would be - and indeed - if I stump up the extra £400 - whether it's possible/likely I will get kicked out? I would actually much rather an exit row than a regular CE seat on that flight as I don't really fit....

You may be able to get BA to move you to ELAL as the TLV morning flight (the only daily flight) has been moved to the inhoispitable hour of 6:40am. You will get a REAL business class, at BA's expense, AND get the TPs you would have earned flying with BA. Definitely worth a phone call,.
