I did just sign up for the Register and Download IHG App to earn 500 points, and did the steps, will wait a bit to see if 500 points show up
If not, then backup plan is to buy the game above
I've been trying to buy a cheap game to extend my IHG points but every time I do I get "I'm sorry we're unable to complete your redemption at this time. Please contact the IHG One Rewards Service Center for further assistance". Has anyone had the same and if so, did you manage to resolve it?

Tried several e-books as well. Same message.

I have done this previously without any problems.
