Will I be able to choose and pay for my seat as soon as I've made the booking or does paying partly with avios mean you have to wait till check in to get a seat allocated? Thank you!
Note that part paying with Avios if often a poor way of using Avios unless you just use it to save £10 or so. The amount of £ you get per Avios decreases rapidly.
If you part pay with Avios you have a cash booking and it works exactly the same was a normal flight booking.
Alternatively you can book a reward flight. This requires availability of reward seating and also has options to change the cash element for the booking.
So it's a bit confusing as you use cash and Avios for both methods, but the pricing and availability is different.
