The2x avios per 1€ on visa is a fairly good return, I calculated over some beers one night that it should be around a 2.1-2.4% cashback return in value vs a half percent with amex. Of course I get 4-5% back on a limited spend on my other cards so I spread the love to maximize value.
I Did calculate before avios and award flight devaluations that one could get 1,5% cashback with finnair visa if one used those points for the best valued award flights (local flights) or upgrades. In this calculation I valued points at -50% price since they were sold at that price. Anyways, triple the value compared to amex so absolutely no point of paying anything with amex. However I have lost track after the devaluations but after all the bulls**t extra payments for awards the points value substatially lower but propably still a lot higher than the amex 0,5%.
