I really liked the Park Hyatt Guangzhou - here are my impressions:

Pros:
  • Upgraded right before check-in to a Park Suite King despite no availability online - nice spacious corner suite with lots of wood accents and nice design
  • Comfortable living room couch
  • Bed is comfortable - firm mattress, plush covers, plush pillows
  • Shower pressure from the rainfall head has great pressure and lots of water flow
  • Nice views of Guangzhou even from the non-Tower side
  • No issues with smoke smell, despite being on floor 56 as the previous reviewer was (I did notice the carpet stains but could not smell anything)
  • No issue with 4 PM late checkout
  • Staff was consistently friendly
  • Breakfast was very good - large a la carte menu and large buffet - good omelets and hashbrowns, good thick pancake, relatively good coffee, good croissant
  • Turndown attendant left me so much water!

Neutral:
  • Welcome gift was just fruit - at least the banana was good

Cons:
  • Some cracking in bathroom flooring and bathroom ceiling
