Okay that's interesting to hear, about two months back I tried to do exactly that via the call centre and there was a J class GuestSeat available, I was in Y (comfort I think, but eligible for upgrade anyway). They clearly stated then that it was not possible to get the calculator price and quoted something like 200k.

They really need to bring this back in via the website, then saving miles for upgrades would be a good option. Assuming there is availability in Y.....
