As far as I know the security checkpoint (marked on the map) on the right as you come down to level 2 has not been open for a long time. You have to turn left, follow a passage and turn left at the end to go through B West security along with passengers starting their journey in FRA.
It is sometimes open, mostly not.
I've gone through that B passport control many times in the past couple of years and the only time I have seen that security open was at 11:30am on a Friday in mid-June this year.
