Why should a hotel that joined SLH for a bit of brand enhancement / marketing support / whatever be forced to give out free breakfast and upgrades to anyone who can fill out a credit card application form?!

Quite a few will also find that Hilton does not, ahem, fit the sort of audience they want to attract via SLH.
