Context: I usually travel 5-6 times a year, mostly by airplane. Conventions and friend hangouts only, so hotels/homes, convention centers, city areas etc.

I am not hiking or going on outdoor excursions or camping trips.

Question: I am undecided...should I buy a rolling duffel bag, or a rolling softside suitcase? Same size range for both (28-32 inch), and the brands are highly rated.

I'm so used to the rolling duffel bag I already own, but have heard they're not as durable/reliable?

To be clear, I am not asking for brand recommendations, so please do not give those.
