Then they should be fired, and new people who want to work hired. That's how it works for most people - I either show up and do my job reasonably well, or I don't and there are consequences.
Why the airline industry continues to let strikes paralyze them is beyond me, but they do and we the customer are the ones that feel the pain.
Good luck replacing your entire workforce when they all don't come in on the same day!
