I used to take the CoachUSA from MKE to ORD regularly. I was only a 1hr ride, but it was a bit tiring--bus seats aren't comfortable even when you have a whole row compared to airplane seats.
If there were only a direct train service to ORD the way there's a direct train service to downtown Chicago. Oh well.

I even thought about purchasing two seats on the bus, but realized that it would still be 3 hr of travel time. Back when I lived on the East Coast, 3-hr would be almost enough to get my 75% of the way from NYC to DC (with traffic). It's somewhat inconceivable that this trip (entirely on the highway save for brief stops) would be 3-hr long.
