INTL Business/Z-Class Checked Baggage Allowance
A family member has a ticket ASIA-NRT-USA. The first leg is on ANA, the second on United. They are flying Business Class, Z fare booked through United.com. They will have 3 check-in bags, plus a backpack. United emailed itinerary/receipt says 3 free checked bags, but ANA website says 2. From your experience, how strict is ANA charging for that third bag at check-in? Will the ticket agent allow the third bag (smaller) as a cabin bag even if it's 1-2 kg over? Will they consider checking it in for free? Or should they be prepared to pay?
Since it is a move, taking less than that is not an option. Thanks for the help!
