Can anyone compare the Hilton LLV to the Westin LLV? This will be a family trip not a gaming trip so pools are key and also as smoke-free as possible.
We need to find a hotel for a soccer tournament that unfortunately falls on Labor Day weekend. 2 of 3 fields are in Henderson and alas the 3rd is near Summerlin but we have no idea yet where our games will be played. Of course the Strip falls midway between the suburbs but I think the better strategy would be to stay in Henderson and avoid the strip traffic. Plus the rates are cheaper.
Both hotels are smoke free as there is no casino. I think both hotels are in pretty bad shape AFAIK in terms of renovations. But if you care most about the pools then I would definitely pick the Westin. The Hilton pool is pretty much just a square whereas the Westin is 2 levels and has water slides.
The Hilton does have the edge for location since it’s right by Sonrisa Grill (10/10!) as well as a couple of other restaurants whereas the Westin is surrounded by residential neighborhoods.
So in short, pick Westin for the pools and Hilton for the restaurants.
