Having flown with BA for 30+ years now, the service routine across all longhaul cabins has essentially never changed - except that BA never used to offer a hot second meal service on US West coast flights and the Goodnight Express meal option was a big thing in Club World in the early 2000s or so. For mid-flight refreshments, BA would still say you can go to the galley or use the call bell where the crews will be happy to help. There was a time when passengers would get up and use the restrooms or ask for drinks en masse when the first film on the large screens at the front of each cabin would finish and before the next one started. The days before passengers could pause, let alone select their inflight entertainment………
