True, the step up between LH J and LH F is massive. The seat in LH J is not a bad as the Emirates 77W (which is a disgrace for a C seat on ANY airline in 2024), but LH J is not a great experience... worse if you travel alone. With a partner it is ok. But the F cabin is just a different world. Both in terms of service with the dedicated F cabin crew, catering as well has the hard product (seat, privacy, lavatories, storage). And the ground handling LH F handling in FRA, MUC, ZRH and even some outstations are a vastly different - meaning much better - experience.

Yes, true. Which means you lose quite some value but still for a LH experience worth it. Bad is: It is very much likely you WON'T get the LH F return. In the old days, you left home looking forward to a LH F return trip. Now it is "maybe LH F, maybe just J or even UA economy". Even J has become super hard to book.
