we who pontificate here on FT would do well to remember that we’re not at all a representative sample of the traveling public, in terms of either our flying patterns / amounts or our atypically high understanding of how “the systems” within the airlines work
and to the latter point — beyond what leadership and marketing publicize, we have little to no insight into what actually goes into any of those discussions and decisions, so from an impact (read “Return on Investment”) standpoint at the C-suite level, I’d have to think our “this might be cool” or “that might make sense” comments seldom rise above the background noise
