VA and VS are very different airlines. VS is Skyteam, but they have other partners like NH as well. VA in contrast stopped partnering with DL and went with UA instead; overall very different partners structure but some commonalities like SQ, NH.
You can’t transfer VA to VS. In NA, you can credit UA and AC miles to VA if you want to build up miles there.
