May as well jump on this thread rather than starting a new one, though it's the opposite direction.

Situation, flying LHR-HKG (CX F, overnight landing at 05:40+1). Now have to book a separate ticket for BA, on a BA flight (LHR-Spain, around midday on the day of CX arrival) as the reason for the flight is now in another country.

I am presuming that CX will quite happily check my bags through all the way to Spain as they don't care about BA's "no checking thru bags on separate tickets" (which saves me having to drag them across from T3 to T5)?

(at least I think I should be all good in the BA Concorde room for that long layover due to my inbound F flight )
