If you make MVP by flying, then you should consider using the Alaska Credit card. If you are able to spend $50,000 in a year, you get 20,000 elite miles, or enough to be MVP.. so if you combine that with your butt in seat flying, you’ll be a gold. Being based in the Bay Area that should get you a lot more first class upgrades or premium upgrades.
