As expected, checked out of NH Collection Gran Hotel Calderon this morning and not once was my status even mentioned or recognised during the stay. Had to ask to see the final bill as they just wanted to charge it to my card - of course I insisted and it was wrong. I am also unsure how this is branded a five star hotel as it clearly is a four star hotel at best in terms of hard product and service, it is a total dump compared to e.g. IC Barcelona where I stayed a week ago. Glad I’ve ticked the NH brand off in the current promotion and hopefully now don’t need to stay at one for another fifteen years again.
