SK only ever disputed by how much the luggage was delayed, but other than that paid out the full amount.
It might be, that in this case the total amount wasn't too high for them to dispute (luckily I didn't need a suit or anything).
Exactly. I also never have any issue in getting the airline to reimburse what I asked for. We always ask ourselves if a purchase is reasonable for reimbursement before actually buying it, and whether we would be ok if we have to suck it up in case they say no. So far this principle works 100%.
