One theory I thought of is renters going into DC will want smaller cars to navigate the city better. However, they always seem to have the most basic of vehicles here. The Escapes, RAV4s and Rogues all have the most basic cloth seats, no leather or heated seats, etc. If it was a row of well-equipped Rogues, RAV4’s and such, it wouldn’t be so bad, but these are the most basic fleet vehicles ever. I have NEVER in the last two or three years seen an Audi, BMW, Cadillac, etc on the aisle here. The last few times I’ve been through, “upgrade” was a Yukon Denali and Wagoneer which is but isn’t really an upgrade. A BMW X5 or Audi A6 is an upgrade.

I wish they’d at least have more exec aisle vehicles such as Highlanders, Palisades, Grand Cherokees and maybe an Audi A3 or two in the aisle every now and then. It seems like they are using an emerald aisle level of vehicles and trying to pass them off as executive.
