That may have been the *right* thing to do, but my question is if there is a *duty* to act in that manner. 200 million adults in the US consume alcohol. The vast majority of them manage to do so without turning into sexual assaulting scumbags.
Duty of care means protecting pax from harm that is reasonably foreseeable. alcohol does not immediately turn people into monsters. to suggest otherwise you would pretty much have to argue for airlines, or even all public places to be dry.
Taking these posts at face value, the OP suffered harm on her flight. I'm not trying to be insensitive nor minimize that. but I'd like to politely suggest that the airline handled the manner in a responsible and effective manner, given what we know. the at fault party is the ... who apparently cant handle his booze. I'd like to suggest that some time be taken to really consider if there are any other at fault parties here.
