since the reason was an overheated number 1 engine, I suppose they couldn't use thrust reversers to slow the plane down, so the brakes overheated and caught minor fire
the incident aircraft was Delta's ship number N836MH. After 4 days, it's still sitting at ATL.
V1 and VR are often very close on the 767-400. There should however be more to this story as a EGT exceedance would not be a reason for a high speed abort.
