It's one thing to objectively say "probably won't happen/shouldn't happen because it would be too open to abuse" , it's another to attack the OP for a supposed sense of entitlement (which i personally think is ridiculous based on the way they presented their issue), or unhelpfully saying, with no other context, "just do like everyone and pay for your J ticket" .
Is it so hard to think that maybe someone can't afford J fares but still want to live their lives and so simply explores all the possibilities of lessening the impact their condition has on travelling? Geez....
I’m sorry but I have two fractures of the vertebra’s as well as risk of DVT and so I choose to fly in J or not at all so I can live my life to the full without relying or expecting upgrades from airlines. To me I choose what to spend my income on and unfortunately travel is high on the list so I sacrifice other luxuries to enable travel. Also Avios can be obtained to lessen the financial impact especially with 2for 1 vouchers and booking in advance. Sorry for the blunt reply.
