Nostalgia: As a kid in the late 1960s, the first flight I ever took was on AC from CLE to YYZ. My mother was bringing me to visit her sister's family "on the farm" (about an hour north of the city in Port Hope, Ontario). It was 88-acres "taken out of the Crown" my uncle would boast. He was likewise proud of "simple living": having an outhouse (no toilet), a hand-pump for water, and heating water on the stove. There was electricity, though not upstairs. Simple, indeed.
