Breafast at restaurant Epona

Diamond elite guests choosing as welcome amenity: breakfast,
can enjoy everything from the breakfast buffet at restaurant Epona.

The ambiance
Spoiler

There is no seperate extra made to order egg menu on the table and no live stations. The setup mimics IC Barclay NYC: offering just the buffet as the best solution for fast guest turnover.....

The buffet offering current JUL 2024

EDIT:
Observed the following, Epona gets an influx of rivercruise ship passengers + 2 bus loads of Chinese tourgroups all at the same time. This causes the kitchen + restaurant to be overwhelmed.

There is no more egg menu at the table or presented or pro-actively asked by the staff. However if one would request a non-special egg dish (boiled/fried/scrambled/sunnyside/omellette), it will still be provided free of charge. And to my good friend Atacama40 : there is no visible breakfast bubbly of the alcoholic kind....
ninjalad : i did manage to survive by compensating all pork products by having at least 3 glasses of grapefruit juice to negate the fatiness

EDIT EDIT
Now that the crowds have checked out and the hotel's breakfast room is back to being an oasis:
- i was proactively offered any choice of egg dish made à fresh from the kitchen
- there is a live station on wheels rolled out
today's specialité de la maison : crêpes à volonté
Spoiler

And the restaurant & buffet in all its glory without guests in a rush to catch the tourbus / reboard the riverboat cruise...
Spoiler

So you are aware of the fluctuations in offerings and service.
Nothing bad persé but always good to keep in mind to avoid disappointment.
