Yeah sounds like what I went through last summer. I think they must have done something recent then because my payment did go through in June 2024 without a hitch- yay for progress !
To be fair, I also have to do manual phone calls and processing when using my last remaining US bank card for other purchases online because 2FA is not a thing there (the US is always behind the rest of the world for these things).
