I should add one point. The thing to understand about JL's Apex seat vs the J seats of ANA and other airlines is that most airlines' J seats have lots of space to the side, but cram your feet into a small cubby hole in the bed position. JL's Apex seat provides much less room to the side but way more space in front. Personally I prefer the latter: massive legroom, with endless space to stretch out and a wide ottoman for my feet in bed mode. Other people prefer the former. So you may want to think about which configuration you would prefer.

And again it’s not just the length but the fact that it is so open - the hardware of the seat doesn’t protrude into the space above/around you making things feel cramped and claustrophobic - especially for taller folks where you can’t even bend your knees without being banged by the seat protrusions in one way or another. Open and airy like many F seats, just narrower.
