I've just left as well. No acknowledgement of status as a diamond. Was really on the fence between this and the Kimpton originally but I might give that a go next time.
Staff were ice cold everywhere we went. Extremely perfunctory if not borderline rude, from front desk to F&B. The pool staff were friendly though, as was the person whose sole job seemed to be reminding you not to trip over on the step in the lobby.
Breakfast spread was massive and wide ranging. Really enjoyed that. I mirror the comments that eating here is a bit silly given the choices outside but it made sense on our last day with a lunchtime flight and a lazy morning.
The beds are ridiculous. My partner usually isn't fussy about such things but made an immediate "what the..." comment after sitting down. Agree they feel and sound like a cardboard box. The pillows are good though, and I slept OK, but if you are very fussy about hard beds it won't agree with you.
Hotel is definitely a bit dated but very well maintained and I didn't note any issues with upkeep. Only issue is the doors slam loudly and if you have any groups nearby (as we did) that are frequently moving between rooms it can be enough to slowly drive you insane.
