It is somewhat still intact. 1) AS has now limited a stopover on an award to 14 days. 2) AS no longer allows you to change the destination of the AS leg after the first flight is flown when using a partner award. Previously you could do for example LHR-SEA (Stopover 14+ days) SEA-PDX (as a placeholder) and you could then change it to SEA-Anywhere on the schedule on AS as long as T space was available like you mentioned [Thank you FT for teaching me this!] but now you can’t change the destination online as the website errors out and if you call in they cite the destination swap request as why they can’t either.
