Or, some other international flyer who had flights for 4+ days prior to the OPs ATL-MCO flight (but also on the ATL-MCO leg) checked in to their first leg, and that opens up viewing of the Upgrade List for all pax on that ATL-MCO 4 days early?

Ah--I now see what you posted upthread. I think where you may be getting confused is that nothing about OP's itinerary, or them being checked in (or not) affects their ability to see the upgrade list or what they see on that list. All passengers booked on a given flight are going to see exactly the same data, whether they are checked in or not. The same data is also displayed on the gate information screens at most airports.
Got it, so my bolded scenario above is the answer to how every medallion member on that ATL-MCO flight could see actual names on the Upgrade List 4+ days prior...thank you, I did not know that. Nothing to do with OPs itinerary, but all medallions could see names since at least one international flier on a 4+ day itinerary was booked on that ATL-MCO leg. Still seems extreme to me, but moving on, thanks!
