And we'll see how valuable are our Bonus points when we try to redeem them for flights (or upgrades).
They're not giving us anything.

For Level Points, it's now fully pay to play - which cuts down EBG and EBD numbers for next year. If they can cut costs enough to invest in other areas, I am sure they will. If they can't, they can always go the AA route and introduce a new level 🙃 - or just make qualification harder like LH did.

For Bonus points, you're really no better off than you were before. My theory is that higher mileage bonuses means that SAS' dynamic award pricing's inventory will probably grow at the expense of SAS Bonus inventory. They won't want people hoarding points as that carries a cost. It will be like Hilton in that regards. Sure you get double and triple bonus points, but dynamic pricing makes short work of those gains unless you stay at crappy places (or in the case of SAS, fly domestic or routes with multiple flights a day).

This new programme is really shaping up to be Flying Blue under another name. Notice they haven't really mention how many Level Points it will take to achieve status. I think it will look similar to FB's XP numbers.
