I made a one-night reservation at the new Sheraton Jakarta Soekarno Hatta Airport. When booking at airport hotels I always check to make sure that there is a free shuttle; I'm fairly certain the hotel web site said there was. But now, 48 hours before my arrival at the hotel, I can't find anything about a shuttle. Instead the web site now says that a taxi from the airport to the hotel (3.1 kilometers) will cost 250,000 IDR, which is about what I typically pay for a taxi to hotels many miles away in central Jakarta. So I checked the Fairfield Inn, which is quite close to the Sheraton and which posts in this thread from late last year identify as having free airport transfer. But there's no mention of that on the Fairfield Inn website either. Have they discontinued the shuttle? And does a taxi to a hotel practically on the airport grounds really cost 250,000 IDR? And are there any other transportation options? (It looks quite walkable, but not with my luggage.) Thanks so much for any information or advice.
